December 2019 Scrap The Girls Challenge

Be inspired by what you see, read or the colours.

The gum leaf and the stone make me think of the Australian bush.

My daughter was so excited to be a reindeer in the school assembly item in her Pre Primary Year!

I used Kaisercraft "Old Mac" paper  collection and also the collectables that came with it.

The wood veneer is from Corbett Creations.

What do you see when you look at the mood board?

There is nothing like a cold beer after a hot day sightseeing!

The gorgeous paper was  from Trocraft "Penelope Dee" .I fussy cut a second wreathe and  layered it

over my photos.

In the background I used Golden Light Modelling Paste mixed with Prima Finnabair Art Ingredients

Mica Powder- Vintage Pink through a Maya Road Mask.

When dry I glued some Pretty Pin Posh sequins about.

The chipboard title is from ScrapFx and I embossed it with white Altenew Crisp embossing Powder.

Breast Cancer Awareness month- pick your star Sign and be inspired by that bra

I am a Pisces and I took my inspiration from the shoe string straps!

I cut up a sheet of black bazzill into narrow strips and went  with a black and white theme.

My daughter was so happy to be a penguin in the school assembly presentation!

Flowers were from 49 and Market, the backing papers and stars were from My Mind's Eye

and the black and white lace panels on the side were die cuts using a Stamp'in up die.

The title is from Dusty Attic and I embossed it with Altenew Crisp Embossing powder- Polar White.

Let's all be breast Aware and check our breasts regularly!

Scrap The Girls August 2019

"Insta Love"
Be inspired by instagram, square photos, the logo, the colours, likes.. just add a note what inspired

you.

I was inspired by the colours, and the square theme, with square photo, texture paste squares, and

stamping tiny squares (Kasazz Graffiti Mesh Background stamp).

I covered the page with Gesso before laying down the texture paste (Golden Light Molding paste)

through a Prima Finnabair Stencil.

Next I used my Distress Oxide inks - Cracked Pistacchio

                                                             Squeezed Lemonade

                                                             and Salty Ocean ,

using the smooshing technique with fine plastic.

When dry I ghost stamped with Archival Ink.

Then I flicked Liquitex Professional Ink- Titanium White and Carbon Black over the page before

laying down the photo.

The papers at the base of the photo are from an old Kaisercraft Christmas Collection.

The camera and the words "tell me a story" are cork stickers from American Crafts Shimelle.

The chipboard word " #adorable " is from Dusty Attic- Hashtag Saying 2- I embossed it with Stamp

It Rich Red Embossing powder and Altenew Embossing Ink.

The flowers are from Blue Fern Studios- "Wanderlust Lillys".

The two flairs are from Accent Scrapbooking.

I really enjoyed making this page!

The possibilities are endless with this mood board!

Scrap The Girls July 2019 challenge

I had the perfect colour match with Prima Marketing Collection Tales of You and Me!

The mood board was titled "Luscious Lady"

I have never thought of myself as luscious but I was pretty pleased with myself when I took this

photo!!

I'm wearing a dress that had been hanging in the cupboard for 25 years because I had put on too

much weight over the years to wear it!!( 24 kilos gone!!)

The title( oh so true!) chipboard is from 2Crafty,

the Heart chipboard are from Dusty Attic.

I have embossed them both with Altenew Crisp Embossing powder Platinum

and I edged my papers with Hampton Dye ink.

Lots of fussy cutting with this page!

Can't wait to see how others create with this mood board!

Good luck all!

"Patterns and Colours"

I was inspired by the yellow clogs and the flowers.

I am on a mission this year to get out of my comfort zone and I certainly did with this one!

 I never use yellow!!

The technique was inspired by  a step by step tutorial by Tammy Klingner - the design itself

becoming quite different as it evolved.

Thanks Tammy!

Check out her blog spot  Tambaramba - such a talented and lovely lady!

I used Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks,  Archival black ink and Kaisercraft little triangles stamp in the

background.

I stamped the roses( Ranger Dina Wakley Stamps Abstract Blooms) with Stayz On Black ink, and

coloured them with distress oxide ink.( Squeezed Lemonade)

When dry  I cut them out of the paper and layered them around my photo.

The photo is backed with papers from simple Stories Dream Big Collection and the puffy words are

from the same collection.

I love this page!!

Looking forward to seeing how others create from this mood board!

Scrap The Girls April 2019

The theme for April is

"Dress Like you're going to meet your ex boy-friend"

I chose this photo because it shows how happy I am, my wonderful hubby and kids photo on the wall

behind me, and the gorgeous family dog we're blessed to have.

I chose to frame it in the clock face because it is so many happy years since I saw my last

boyfriend!!

The paper is from Stamperia, the flowers 49 and Market and the chipboard is from Dusty Attic.

I embossed it with Altenew Crisp Embossing Powder - Platinum and it fitted perfectly with the colors.

"90's chicks" Be inspired by the movies of the 90s- pick your favourite movie

I was at a loss at first with this one but I took a leaf out of Gwen's book and picked my favourite

outfit from the Movie - Clueless!

 Pink of course!!!

The dress that inspired me was for the wedding.

Fortunately my daughter didn't have that look on her face!!

 Close ups...

I used Prima's Misty Rose Collection papers - SO gorgeous!!

Prima Misty Rose Butterflies and flowers too.

The die cut leaves and flowers were Laurel Wreath hot Foil Stamp and Laurel Wreath Die from

TODO and I used Couture Creations  Pink Foil and Hot Foil Machine.

The title was from 2Crafty and I hot foiled it in another Pink Foil from Couture Creations.

The stencil in the background was from Prima and I added Finnabair's Mica Pink to colour it.

Before it dried I sprinkled Finnabear diamond glitter on the paste- doesn't show up that well in the photo

but looks great on the page.

I will be interested to see how others are inspired by this month's mood board!

There are sponsor's prizes available to the winners so have a go!

You might just be successful!

Time Travel

"Time Traveller

Visit the pin up board over on Pinterest with pins about the 1940s and 1950's- Pin Up

Pick a pin or two for your inspiration and tell us what inspired you.

I was inspired by the pin of the lady holding up a muscled arm with the tattoo "Girl Power"

My mum certainly had girl power!

In 1946, she and two girl friends headed from Perth to the Eastern States for a working holiday

( Mum told us jobs were everywhere!)

I chose the color scheme from another pin- Pin up Party.

I'm thankful that this lovely woman was my mum, who among other things inspired me to get out there and see the world!!

I used Maja Design "Vintage Baby" papers, Dusty Attic Chipboard and 49 and Market Flowers.
I coloured the chipboard and title with Tsuniko Brilliance Dewdrop ink

looking forward to seeing what inspires you!
